Art Installations - Fall 2026
What was the purpose of the project?
As part of the Identity, Placemaking & Belonging pillar of Georgia State's Strategic Plan, I was tasked with creating & managing the installation of multiple murals across the Atlanta campus. In the last calendar year, we have installed murals in 5 different spaces as part of extensive renovations to the downtown campus.
What did the project consist of?
This project was done several parts. I began by meeting with the different department heads for each space and creating a project brief that captured their vision. I then worked with two different vendors to measure and prep the spaces as I began designing. After my designs were approved, I worked with our school's business managers to pay for the installations which I supervised as well.
What was the outcome of the project?
All department heads were incredibly happy with the art installations! All murals were installed ahead of schedule and without any issue. 2 of the 5 spaces had wonderful grand reopening events featuring the new artwork and were featured on Georgia State's main social channels and website.
